The JVA is delighted to announce a new initiative, offering bursaries to attend leadership and/or management training courses. We hope this will help our members to feel more confident when moving from early career researcher to more senior roles like team leader or lab manager.
The details are still being finalised and we would love to hear from you to determine the most beneficial opportunities. Once we have a final shortlist of management training programmes, shaped by our members, we will plan the new scheme and invite your applications!
Please email the WHRF Programmes Manager, Mrs Amanda Craddock (a.craddock@qmul.ac.uk) if this sounds like something you may be interested in and would like to share your thoughts.
Once the scheme is open, you must meet the following requirements to enter:
* JVA membership is free. For details and to download an application form, please visit the JVA membership page HERE.
** The JVA defines ‘early-career researchers’ as PhD students and postdoctoral scientists within eight years of the award of their PhD or primary medical degree (exclusive of significant career breaks).
